I am unbelievably excited to be attending the South Beach Wine and Food Festival (SOBEWFF) this year! I'm going to the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village on Saturday and Sunday and I hear this event is one of the highlights of the festival. I worked a couple of events last year as a press and media associate and I absolutely loved it.
For those that do not have tickets and still want to be a part of the fun, here are a couple of events that are free... Yes, you read right, FREE!
- From Miami.com: Chef Spike Mendelsohn's Celebrity Chef Volleyball Tournament on Friday, February 22nd at 1 p.m at The James Royal Palm. The event even has a twitter handle! @LetsGetSpiked
- From Miami New Times: The Big Gay Ice Cream Social on Saturday, February 23rd from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at The James Royal Palm. A one-of-a-kind event to promote marriage equality legislation in Florida!
If you can't make it to these events but still don't want to break the bank, try to go to Florida Blue Presents Fun and Fit as a Family for only $20! This is a family-friendly event where you can see a few of your favorite chefs while still taking part of the festival.
For just a couple $20's more, you can indulge in the Truck on Midtown's Tracks event with Andrew Zimmern. I worked at this event last year, when it was the official closing party, and I had a blast! Such a fun atmosphere and delicious food truck finds.
Are you going to any SOBEWFF events this year? Will you be at the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village this weekend? What SOBEWFF tips do you have? I want to hear from you!
